The striking ‘spalted’ grain of these Beech boards is actually caused by a fungus. Although the fungus ultimately damages the tree, it does make stunning grain markings. These boards a beautifully made and have a handy circular hole allows you to hang the board when it’s not in use, or you can stand a bowl in it and use if for nuts, grapes, crackers, whatever your cheese board needs really! No two boards are the same, but they are all equally dramatic looking.
