SPRING REFRESH

We have now passed the equinox in the Northern hemisphere and the sun is now officially moving northwards. I can feel myself emerging from a semi-dormant winter state as the days get longer and, although I am longing to feel some warmth, clearly nature is noticing the difference already. Buds, blossom and burgeoning shoots are making an appearance.

So with spring in the air we have added some fresh new things to the shop, all designed and made in the UK, of course.*

Eat Your Greens: Garden Vegetable Napkin Set, £45

First up is designer-maker Lottie Day, brand-new to the Simple Shape site. She is an illustrator from Norfolk, who turns her drawings into homewares. Inspired by had Dad’s allotment and her costal location, Lottie’s drawings of vegetables and fish work brilliantly on napkins and tea towels. Each collection comes in a screen printed box.

If you’re looking to strike a pose at the dinner table these napkin sets are an excellent place to start. Keep everything else super simple, bare table or white table cloth, and single stem flowers, grasses and greenery. It will look stunning.

Also, for indoor gardeners, we have added shiny brass and copper ‘misters’, so your succulents will be hydrated and dust free. This little half-pint mister is for indoor tropical plants to help keep them at optimum humidity. A plant lover with a keen eye for good design would be beside themselves to receive this gift.
