BATHROOM GROOM
AUTUMN
We are trying to make our bathroom at home plastic free. It’s a work in progress, we are a very long way from perfect. And we have a lot to improve on (…bathroom cleaners for example). If you don’t need to replace your things then DO NOT. However, if you’ve been toying with dispensing with your soap dispenser then we have three small considered purchases to add groom to your bathroom: handmade ceramic soap dishes, cold-pressed soaps in three scents and nail brushes (yes, a stylish nail brush, it’s true).
They're all designed and made in the UK (as are all our things) by small independent producers.
INTRODUCING THE BATHROOM THREE:
No 1. THE SOAP DISH
It’s very easy to underestimate how hard it is to update an ordinary object, to make it feel at once traditional and homely and at the same time contemporary and fresh. And ensure that it does the job. This Soap Dish in fine bone china (which is the hardest ceramic making it more durable) has all the hallmarks of a familiar product and yet the wobbly hand-painted cobalt detailing sets it apart. Not only does it look good, but it’s fit for purpose too, the higher than normal ridges means that air can circulate so your soap bar won’t go soggy. Good bye soap dispenser.
No 2. THE NAILBRUSH
Nail brushes are a necessity but they’re rarely a good looking necessity. THIS however is the best looking one we can find. It’s make of Beech wood and the smooth surface is finished with a natural oil and hog bristles are set in resin. The lozenge shape fits well in the palm of your hand.

No 3. THE SOAP
We have three cold-pressed soaps in intoxicatingly delicious fragrances developed by Feldspar studio, each one; Moor, Kelp and Ash made to evoke the atmosphere of the Devonshire moorlands and coastline where the Feldpar team are based. Each soap is gentle and mild, suitable for all skin types and daily use. The cold-pressing process preserves all 100% of the natural ingredients and each bar is enriched with coconut and olive oils to moisturise. In short, these are good.
